Early in my career I honed my design skills by building a vast number of digital media placements, in all sizes across every format imaginable. This gave me plenty of opportunity to understand layout, colour, typography and retouching, and the importance of choosing the correct combination of elements to catch a person’s attention (whilst keeping the visuals as concise and beautiful as possible).

Shown here are a small selection of both Fire Tablet ‘wakescreen’ and Fire TV ad designs I created during my formative years as a contractor at Amazon. These placements were known as ‘gateway’; the first impression customers received of both the advertiser brand and Amazon’s, and so the creative bar & level of design polish required were incredibly high.
