CHALLENGE

A new laptop is top of the list for many prospective university students, and the student market is a huge segment for HP - they asked us to propose a new approach for engaging these new undergraduates.

SOLUTION

I proposed offering these important customers a flexible bundle builder, allowing them to tailor their purchase to their exact needs and interest, not just in terms of product choices but also things that are useful for student life; discounted music / audio books subscriptions, takeaway offers, and even carbon offsetting.

We also considered how it’s often the parents of these students who both research and purchase, and planned how clever media creative could target these two groups more effectively.

IMPACT

The client loved the concept and the project was green-lit, but ultimately postponed indefinitely due to the global pandemic.
